SWUK Members Active in 80-Day Campaign

Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- Organizations of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea (SWUK) actively encourage the good conduct campaign conducive to hastening the victory of the 80-day campaign. The women's union members in different parts of the country have turned out in the work to heal the aftereffect of the natural disaster and to spruce up the streets and villages. The women's union members in South Hamgyong Province, Kangwon Province, etc. volunteered to help the builders in the damaged areas by making blocks and tiles, rezoning the area and doing other things so as to contribute to building dwelling houses and repairing the roads. The women's union organizations in Sangwon County, North Hwanghae Province helped with the earlier repair of freight cars. The women's union members in Nampho City finished the rehabilitation of tens of welfare facilities in a short time and absolutely keep the rules of the anti-epidemic requirement in sterilization and management. The women's union members in North Hamgyong Province went to the tens of farms and helped the farmers harvest and prepare for the next year's farming. The women's union members in South Hwanghae and North Phyongan provinces did the improvement of road between plots, digging irrigation waterways and drainage canals, carrying earth and doing other things. -0-
