Thai authorities to visit Malaysia to seek extradition of terrorist suspect
BANGKOK, March 16 (TNA) - Thai authorities will visit Malaysia later this month to directly emphasize their request for the extradition of an Iranian suspect who is alleged to have involved in three bomb blasts in Bangkok last month and was then arrested in Malaysia.
Deputy National Police Chief Police General Pansiri Prapawat said today that Thai interrogators and public prosecutors have already prepared additional evidence and documents translated into English to meet the Malaysian demand and they will be in Malaysia from March 25-26 to directly seek the extradition of Iranian man, Masoud Sedaghatzadeh, who is suspected of involving in the three bomb blasts on Sukhumvit 71 Road in the Thai capital on February 14.
Police General Pansiri denied reports that Malaysia has rejected Thailand's extradition request, insisting that the Malaysian authorities have cooperated well with the Thai request but a legal process concerning the case needs to take some times in Malaysia.(TNA)
