Thai people start New Year celebrations
BANGKOK, December 24 (TNA) - Like those worldwide, people in Thailand have started celebrating Christmas and New Year 2014, despite anti-government protests.
Among other activities introduced as part of the annually-seasonal celebrations in Thailand, the US Embassy in Bangkok has posted its video clip on the YouTube website on Tuesday morning to extend its New Year's wishes to Thai people, featuring the lifestyles of people in Bangkok and Chiang Mai Province
in the Thai North, where the US Embassy and the US Consulate-General stand respectively.
As the soundtrack of the video clip is the song “Kan Lae Kan” (together) of the Modern Dog band,Walter Braunohler, Spokesman of the US Embassy in Bangkok, explained that the song represents the long-standing friendship between Thailand and the United States, as both countries celebrate the 180th anniversary of their diplomatic relations this year, saying he believes that the Thai-US friendship will continue to grow.(TNA)
