Thai youths to compete at P-PAC & Global Art National Competition
BANGKOK, September 24 (TNA) - Global Art, a famous Thai art institute, will organise a competition in Bangkok next month to select best Thai youth artists to represent the nation in an Asian art contest in November 2015.
Global Art announced on Thursday that it will organise the youth drawing competition in mid-October, after which winning youths will represent Thailand at the Asian drawing contest, dubbed the P-PAC & Global Art National Competition 2015, set to be held in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia's capital, in late November.
Next month's young art competition will be divided into four age groups of 4-6 years old, 7-9 years old, 10-12 years old and 13-18 years old.
The winners of each age group will then be announced before they are to depart for November's regional art competition in Phnom Penh.
Thai young artists competing in next month's national art contest will also have an opportunity to observe experiences shared by last year's winners and from Miss Sirada Traitreungtassana, nicknamed Ma Prang, a student of Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Communication Arts, who had the highest score for the university's admission in 2015.
Sirada told reporters, meanwhile, that, apart from spending her time on reviewing materials of each subject, she also uses her free time to paint, acknowledging that art helps her to succeed in her study, as she becomes more concentrated while learning, as well as better controls her emotions and feelings and stimulates both sides of her brain to work together efficiently.
