Thailand Congratulates Americans On Election Of Trump

BANGKOK, Nov 10 (Bernama) -- Thailand congratulated the American people on successfully electing Donald Trump as their 45th president and vowed to work closely to enhance Thai-US partnership. The Thai Foreign Ministry in a statement on Wednesday said both countries shared a long history of alliance and cordial relations that has stretched 183 years. "Our cooperation is multi-dimensional covering many areas of mutual interest and both sides are committed to work constructively together," said the ministry. Trump, the Republican party candidate and a successfull businessman, defeated the Democrat party's candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is also a former US Secretary of State, in today's presidential election.
