Thailand eyes to lead ASEAN success by 2030
BANGKOK, June 17 (TNA) - An executive foresees Thailand could drive ASEAN success by 2030 if the Kingdom then became a leader in renewable energy.
Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) Governor Sermsakool Klaikaew made the assessment on Wednesday in his presentation at the 4th class of the Leadership Succession Program, organized in Bangkok by the Institute of Research and Development for Public Enterprises (IRDP), as part of “Thailand Vision 2030”.
Sermsakool pointed out that the target is possible because Thailand’s human resources are highly knowledgeable and experienced in the field of renewable energy.
Besides, Thailand could be the leader of logistics in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) because of its geographical location and superior logistic infrastructure.
According to the PEA governor, Thailand could also become the financial center in the GMS and a smart nation owing to the government’s policy on promoting its digital economy.
Fifty-six executives of government and private organizations participating in the IRDP's 4th class of the Leadership Succession Program were required to present their academic work on “Thailand Vision 2030”. (TNA)
