Tunisia reaffirms solidarity with Bahrain

Tunis, Feb. 21 (BNA): Tunisia's Interior Minister Hedi Majdoub has commended his country's ties with the Kingdom of Bahrain, reaffirming his country's solidarity and support to all the measures taken by Bahrain to preserve its national sovereignty, security and the safety of its citizens. Speaking to Al Amn Magazine, the Tunisian minister said nobody has any right to interfere into Bahrain's domestic affairs, praising the kingdom's stability and security. He also praised the wisdom of Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa who currently chairs the 31st Session of the Arab Interior Ministers. The Tunisian minister added that his recent visit to Bahrain gains considerable significance and reflects the level of fraternal ties, citing the security cooperation agreement signed between the two countries during the visit of President Beji Caid Essebsi to Bahrain last year. The Tunisian minister said the agreement opens the vistas for more cooperation, joint work mechanisms, and mutual exchange of expertise in the interest of both countries and peoples. He said Bahrain and Tunisia in recent years experienced somewhat similar security issues and incidents and that calls for constructive cooperation in the security fields and discussion on issues of shared concern.
