Turkey constructs school and masjid in Somalia

MOGADISHU (A.A) - January 2, 2012 - A Turkish foundation constructed an elementary school and masjid in Somalia. Turkey's Humanitarian Aid Foundation (IHH) built a six-classroom elementary school that could educate 450 students in Hiran region in Somalia. "150 people can pray at the masjid that was built near the school," IHH's coordinator in Somalia Taner Altun told AA correspondent. Altun said the foundation distributed food and clothes to thousands of Somali people, adding that it aimed to contribute more to education and worship in Somalia.
