TURKEY'S FLAG SHIP RENAULT FLUENCE TO BE AN ELECTRIC CAR AS OF 2011, RENAULT DIRECTOR GENERAL

MERSIN (A.A) - 05.05.2010 - Director General of Renault Mais, Ibrahim Aybar, said Wednesday "Turkey's flag ship, Renault Fluence, will be presented to world markets as an electric car as of 2011".
Speaking at a press conference held as part of the "4th Mersin Automobile and Commercial Vehicles Fair", Ibrahim Aybar said that Renault went through great change since last year.
Almost all of our cars at the Mersin Fair were introduced to the market in 2009. The change began with Megan Hatchback and Coupe and continued with Laguna Coupe, Fluence, Grand Scenic, Megan Sport Tourer and Koleos. We are pleased to introduce our newly changed products, Aybar said.
The sales in the Turkish market were better than we expected in the first quarter of 2010. We sold 103,000 automobiles in the first three months of 2010. By the end of 2010, we hope to sell more than 557,000 automobiles in Turkey, Aybar said.
