Undersecretary attends panel discussion with AJC

New York, Sept. 22 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa underlined the diplomatic approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in establishing the principles of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence as the foundation for enhancing security, peace and prosperity in the Middle East and the world. He expressed his pleasure to participate in the panel discussion with the American Jewish Committee in New York, on the sidelines of the 77th UNGA session, which was attended by leaders from the American Jewish community as well as diplomatic and media figures. He noted the efforts of AJC in promoting peace and enhancing rapprochement among people. He highlighted Bahrain’s keenness to support all efforts for a just and comprehensive peace in the region, and to enhance development partnership and regional economic integration in light of the Abraham Accords, the Declaration Supporting Peace and the Negev Summit, with the support of the United States. He also affirmed that maintaining the region's security and stability, rejecting hatred and extremism, and settling disputes and conflicts through diplomatic means is the most appropriate way to overcome current challenges and expand prospects for economic and social progress and prosperity in the region.
