USTART 2016 Helps People To Network, Says Participant

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 24 (Bernama) -- The University Start-Up Conference Malaysia 2016 (USTART 2016) helps people to network by connecting them with others who have the experience in businesses.
Fathiyah Zahra, 23, a final-year student from Universitas Indonesia, said USTART 2016 allowed her to meet key individuals from numerous innovation-linked organisations and entities, funders, scientists and industry representatives.
"I also get to learn about various technologies from different universities and the start-ups and spin-off companies they are currently pursuing.
"It is the only platform that provide all these much-needed benefits and they are just getting better every year," she told Bernama here Wednesday.
Fathiyah said the survival and success of business these days demanded compatibility.
"Most importantly, it always takes time to learn things and we need to know them in a short span of time. The programme like USTART helps to me to connect with others who have more experiences in business," she said.
Nexus Wise Sdn Bhd and Nexus Tac Sdn Bhd Executive Manager, Tiong Cher Linn, said the contents and the energetic spirit of USTART, which focussed on important topics, provided an excellent networking opportunities.
UPSTART 2016, themed 'Creating Economic and Social Impact Through University Startups' aims to produce proactive high-achievers.
The two-day conference, from Nov 22-23, 2016, is organised by University of Malaya.
It is supported by key stakeholders including Malaysian Technology Development Corp, Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology, Intellectual Property Corp of Malaysia, SME Bank and other key strategic partners.
