In His Meeting With The Saudi Ambassador... Al-Mandalawi Confirms Keenness To Encourage Investment Between The Two Countries
Baghdad / NINA / - First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, confirmed during his meeting today with the Saudi Ambassador, Abdulaziz bin Khaled Al-Shammari, keenness to encourage investment between the two countries.
Al-Mandalawi stressed, according to a statement by his office, the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples, facilitating procedures for Saudi companies entering Iraq, and avoiding routine procedures in the investment file.
He referred to the parliament's support for efforts aimed at strengthening fraternal ties and prospects for cooperation in all fields, in addition to approving laws and following up the progress of agreements concluded between the two neighboring countries, especially the enactment of the law ratifying the agreement on encouragement and mutual protection of investments between the governments of Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the next few years.
In turn, the ambassador expressed his country's keenness to revitalize relations between the two countries, and the desire of Saudi companies to contribute in the investment inside Iraq to support the private sector and create job opportunities for youth, and to work hard towards closer cooperation between the Iraqi Parliament and the Saudi Shura Council to exchange experiences and visits in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly countries./ End
