Justice Minister participates in GCC meeting

Muscat, Oct. 12 (BNA): Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, participated in the 33rd meeting of the Ministers of Justice of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The meeting reviewed the draft agreement on the extradition of accused persons in the GCC countries, and the project to develop the agreement on the enforcement of judgments, judicial cooperation and service in the GCC countries.

They discussed Oman’s initiative to enhance judicial integration among the GCC countries.

The ministers issued several recommendations to be submitted to the Supreme Council in its next session.
