Around 2.9 million people visited Moscow Kremlin Museums in 2018, says Director

MOSCOW, April 17. /TASS/. In 2018, the Moscow Kremlin Museums were visited by almost 2.9 million people, Museums’ Director Yelena Gagarina said in an interview with TASS. "According to the guidelines set out by the Russian Ministry of Cultures, we should welcome 1.8 million people a year. Last year, almost 2.9 million people visited the Museums," she said. Gagarina pointed out that this number is annually increasing by around 100,000 visitors. "And, overall, that’s not good. We understand that those travelling to Moscow as tourists wish to see the Kremlin Museums. However, like in any other old museum, there are preservation restrictions," she added. Read more
