Azerbaijan to allocate Kyrgyzstan 40 thsd doses of AstraZeneca vaccine

Bishkek, July 15, 2021 . / Kabar /. Azerbaijan plans to provide humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan in the form of 40,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said Thursday. The humanitarian assistance is being provided as part of implementation of an agreements, reached during an official visit of Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Kazakbaev to Azerbaijan (July 1-3, 2021). "Thus, in order to combat the spread of COVID-19, 40 thousand doses of AstraZeneca vaccine will arrive in Kyrgyzstan. At present, the sides are working on logistics issues with the provision of all storage conditions and requirements for transportation of the vaccine," the report says. The Kyrgyz Republic expresses its sincere gratitude to Azerbaijan for donating a vaccine against coronavirus infection. "This will protect the lives and safety of 20,000 Kyrgyzstanis. The peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, show solidarity with each other and mutual support in the current situation," the Foreign Ministry said.
