Kyrgyz health minister on agreements reached during official visit of Zhaparov to Turkey

Bishkek, June 11, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Health and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told about an agreements reached during the official visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Turkey.
He added that during bilateral talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish side assured that all existing issues on the Kyrgyz-Turkish Dostuk clinic in Bishkek will be resolved.
The minister stressed that during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Fahrettin Koca, an agreement was reached on the arrival of a group of Turkish doctors to Bishkek, who together with Kyrgyz specialists will begin to prepare the Dostuk clinic for operation.
"I think it's a great achievement. For three years, the clinic was ready to work, but it stood idle because the parties could not agree on a number of issues. Now we have come to a consensus and the hospital will soon begin operations. The clinic has modern equipment, and surgeries will be performed there for patients whom we previously sent to Turkey on a quota basis,” Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said.
The sides also agreed that 20 clinical residents from Kyrgyzstan will undergo two years of free specialization in the best clinics of Turkey.
"In addition, Turkey is ready to help in the digitalization of healthcare, i.e., in the creation of e-health.
Pharmaceutical clinics in Turkey also intend to help Kyrgyzstan with the necessary medicines. Issues on the construction of a pharmaceutical plant in Kyrgyzstan or the purchase of necessary drugs directly from manufacturers are being considered," Kyrgyzstan’s Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev concluded.
