Kyrgyzstan to receive AstraZeneca vaccine in mid-August from Switzerland

Bishkek, July 12, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan will receive AstraZeneca vaccine from Switzerland, Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told on air of Birinchi radio. He said that earlier, within the framework of participation in the COVAX program of the World Health Organization, it was planned to receive a vaccine from India. However, due to the fact that the situation in India worsened, they refused. “We will take the vaccine from Switzerland. Our consulate is actively working. The batch will come in mid-August,” he said. Kyrgyzstan has started its vaccination campaign on March 29 by using Chinese vaccine. Later in April the country received Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine.
