Kyrgyzstan, South Korea discuss cooperation in education

Bishkek, July 16, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Education and Science Bolotbek Kupeshev met with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan Lee Won-jae. At the beginning of the meeting, the minister congratulated Lee Won-jae on assuming the new post of South Korean ambassador to Kyrgyzstan and wished him success in work. Bolotbek Kupeshev expressed hope for further development of close bilateral relations in the field of education between the two countries. Lee Won-jae expressed willingness to make every effort to develop friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Korea. The ambassador also reminded that next year will mark 30th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea. In this regard, the Korean side expressed intention to organize a number of educational activities in the two countries together with the Kyrgyz side. He added the Republic of Korea is ready to share its experience in the field of IT-technology, as well as in the sector of digital transformation in education. In turn, Minister Bolotbek Kupeshev minister expressed readiness to send to the Republic of Korea a Kyrgyz delegation of teachers, rectors of universities, directors of general educational organizations, as well as employees of the ministry to familiarize themselves with the educational system of the country, as well as with the advanced technologies in the field of education.
