Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan debate joint events to mark 30th anniversary of independence of countries

Bishkek, May 28, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Kairat Imanaliyev met with Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan Khurshid Mirzahidov. The two sides discussed issues of joint events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the two states, the press service of the Kyrgyz Culture Ministry said. The minister and the ambassador also debated bilateral cooperation issues in the fields of culture, sports and youth, noting the importance of implementing previously reached agreements during the visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbekistan. In particular, issues on the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan, on quotas for the training of talented Kyrgyz youth in popular directions in universities of culture and art of Uzbekistan, repair of the Osh Uzbek music and Drama Theater named after Babur and holding joint events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the two states were considered. Besides, Kairat Imanaliyev and Khurshid Mirzahidov raised issues of enhancing cooperation in the field of sport and youth through exchange visits, forums and other activities in order to establish friendly relations and communication and moral education of the younger generation.
