PM Discusses With The Iranian Energy Minister The Electricity File And Water Shares Of Common Rivers

Baghdad / NINA /- The Prime Minister, Muhammad Al-Sudani, received today, Saturday, the Iranian Minister of Energy, Ali Akbar Mehrabian, and his accompanying delegation.

 A statement by Al-Sudani's office said they discussed areas of joint cooperation, and ways to enhance exchange and coordination regarding the challenges facing the energy sector, regionally and internationally.

The electricity file and electric power supply to the Iraqi national grid from the Islamic Republic of Iran were also discussed, in addition to the issue of scarcity in water resources and the effects of dry seasons, and water shares on the paths of common rivers.

 During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination and investing in the atmosphere of political calm in the region, in achieving the benefit and aspirations of all brotherly and friendly peoples./ End
