‘U.S. influence over IAEA will damage agency’s credibility’

TEHRAN, Nov.5(MNA) – The deputy head of the Iranian mission to the United Nations said that the efforts made by the United States to sway the International Atomic Energy Agency will discredit the UN body. Addressing a recent meeting of the UN General Assembly on the annual report of the IAEA, Es’haq Al-e Habib said that the agency has always confirmed that there is no diversion in Iran’s nuclear activities because the country is firmly committed to its obligations as stipulated by the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
