About meeting between Mayor and French Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city E.Bat-Uul Wednesday met with Ms Elisabeth Barsacq, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Mongolia. The Mayor congratulated Ms Barsacq on becoming the new Ambassador to Mongolia, exchanged views with her on ways of boosting cooperation, and thanked the Embassy of France for backing activities of the capital city. He asked the Ambassador to pay atention to the issues of the city's sewage plant, and said he is satisfied with the establishment of a contract with the French “Artilla Villa Transport” LLC on drawing up a project on renovating this plant. In response, Ms Barsacq said her country can collaborate with the city in resolving this matter. “Our country can give a loan for the sewage plant’s renovation, but the most important thing is that the Mongolian side reach a concrete agreement on it,” she noted. She also expressed a willingness to organize a seminar on environment together with the city’s administration. The Mayor accepted this proposal and said he will back it by all means.
