Blast Kills One, Injures 11 In SW Pakistan

Islamabad, Oct 9, IRNA – One person was killed and 11 others were injured in a powerful blast in Pakistan's southwest on Monday, police said. Three policemen were also among injured in the blast that took place at Double Road area of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan. Security sources said the blast occurred when a roadside bomb planted on a motorcycle exploded. The blast destroyed cars and rickshaws parked nearby. Rescue and security teams reached the blast site, which was cordoned off by the police. The injured were moved to Civil Hospital. The number of people injured in the incident may rise. No group has yet claimed responsibility of the blast./end
