Chile interested in interaction with EAEU and military cooperation with Russia - Foreign Minister

MOSCOW, April 20. /TASS/. Chile is ready to deepen relations not only with Russia, but also with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Chilean Foreign Minister Heraldo Munoz told Russia’s top diplomat Sergey Lavrov on Monday. "Chile is ready to deepen relations with EAEU," Munoz said. "We intend to expand our cooperation with Russia in the economic, political and military spheres," he added. "I’m glad that we are able to agree on all areas of cooperation and intend to sign a document for the coming years today," Munoz said. He noted that Santiago was "ready to make our relations harmonious and was glad to coordinate our stances at the international level." According to the Chilean foreign minister, relations between Russia and Chile were "remarkable and were developing in all aspects." For his part, Sergey Lavrov noted that Russia was "satisfied with the regular nature of its dialogue with the republic." According to him, the talks will center on the prospects of bilateral relations and the issues that were discussed by the presidents of the two countries last year. Read more
