Citizens’ representative khural elections complete

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The additional polling took place on October 23 at the 293 stations of 135 electoral constituencies, which have seen insufficient voter turnout on the election day – October 19, out of the total 1765 constituencies. By 17.00 yesterday, the voter turnout in Ulaanbaatar has reached the required level – 56 percent. A total of 70,264 citizens participated in the additional polling. According to the voting results, the Mongolian People’s Party won 195 seats out of 295 seats, the Democratic Party secured 98 seats and 2 independent candidates will represent city residents at the districts' councils. Namely, the MPP gained majority of votes in 6 out of 9 districts and DP in the remaining three districts.
