Danish court decides on Roj TV

COPENHAGEN (A.A) - January 10, 2012 - A Danish court on Tuesday fined Roj TV with a penalty of 5,900,000 Danish krones for making propaganda of terrorist organization PKK and receiving financial assistance from PKK. The court decided that there was no need to completely shut down Roj TV based on Danish laws. Reacting to the court's decision, the Turkish Ambassador in Copenhagen Berki Dibek said that "it is impossible to understand the court's decision on Roj TV". Turkey has long been accusing Roj TV for making propaganda of the terrorist organization PKK and making programs in support of PKK. PKK has been recognized as a terrorist organization by the European Union (EU), the United States and Turkey.
