Defense Minister meets Ambassador of France

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Defense Ts.Tsolmon MP Wednesday received Ms Elisabeth Barsacq, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Mongolia. The Minister congratulated Ms Barsacq on being appointed the Ambassador to Mongolia and expressed a satisfaction with an intensive development of the bilateral cooperation in politics, social-economic and defense spheres. He also said the year of 2015 was a special period for the Mongolia-France collaboration in the defense field, "it has been brought into a newer level, moreover, the President of Mongolia and I paid visits to the French Republic, our countries established a technical agreement between the two Defense Ministries and co-organized a seminar of French companies engaged in military industry in Ulaanbaatar". A preparation has been ensured to run this seminar for the second time, he added. The sides noted mutually that our countries have a great chance to deepen reforms in Mongolia’s defense sector, promote peacekeeping capability of the Mongolian Armed Forces, exchange experiences in peacekeeping and humanitarian actions, and train professionals.
