Defense sphere head at “Hour of Minister”

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The “Policy fundamentals of defense” document was re-approved in 2015, after which all military units and related organizations got familiarized with the main amendments to this document, the defense policy and implementation. The Defense Minister Ts.Tsolmon said about it at the “Hour of Minister” weekly meeting, on Thursday. He also talked about measures and planned works to be done in frames of celebrating the Day of Mongolian Troops and the 95th anniversary of the Mongolian Armed Forces. He said the “Soldier of homeland” poetry festival has taken place for the 26th year, and a scientific conference themed “Analysis in training system of Armed Forces” has run. A meeting of three generations has been held as well. On occasion of the Day of Mongolian Troops, a military parade will take place on the Central Square with a participation of wind instrument orchestras of the Armed Forces, military units, the General Authority for Border Protection, the National Emergency Management Agency; cadets of the Defense University and the “Temuujin-Orlog” military secondary school, Tsolmon said. With aims to realize the law on public military service and to transmit into a system of involving young people in the military service, the “Student-troop” national program has been implemented on the 3rd year, the Minister said. He added that a preparation is underway to implement this program in Khovd and Dornod aimags and in Ulaanbaatar city. The program's training could involve 1,000 students this year, he noted.
