Deputy Commander: Main Border Dispute With Iraq, Settled

Ilam, Feb 4, IRNA – Deputy Commander of Border Guard said 80 percent of border bars between Iran and Iraq have been laid and the main dispute with Iraq in this regard has been settled.
General Ahmad Gravand told IRNA in the border city of Mehran on Friday that considering border dispute with Iraq, technical delegations of both countries have been working on the issue since two years ago and they have reached good and appropriate agreements.
He predicted that the whole disputed border area between the two countries will be settled by the end of next year of Iranian calendar (March 2013).
Iran has eight thousand and 755 kilometers of common borders with its 15 neighbors.
City of Mehran is located in southwest of Ilam province which has a border of 240 kilometers with Iraq./end
