Erdenes Tavantolgoi’s workers cease strike

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Last Saturday, the authorities of Erdenes Tavantolgoi JSC received the members of “Solidarity” trade union and some staff representatives to discusse the current circumstances. The Union members suggested that "Erdenes Tavantolgoi" provide care for S.Erdene, give all the assistance needed, forward the collective agreement between the Company and the Trade Union, and revise certain clauses of the agreement established with TTJVCo. As a result of this meeting, 21 workers who had been on a strike from 16.00 of November 13 ceased their protest at 15.30 of November 14, facilitating thus the mine’s smooth operations. "Erdenes Tavantolgoi" has been attending to the health condition of S.Erdene and providing necessary medications and injections. The two parties have set up a working group over the collective agreement and are expected to conclude the agreement in a prompt manner, "Erdenes Tavantolgoi" JSC reported on Monday.
