European countries are in U.S. pocket: Iranian official

TEHRAN,Nov.1(MNA) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Hassan Qashqavi said certain European countries have no ‘foreign policy’ and only do what the United States dictates to them. Qashqavi, who was criticizing the double-standard approaches that certain European countries adopt toward international issues, said, “European countries are at the U.S. beck and call.” “However, we believe that Europe as a hub of power has the potential to become influential in the international arena.” He added Iran is always ready to hold negotiations with European countries. The deputy minister also pointed to the upcoming trip of a number of the representatives of the European Parliament to Iran and said the claims that Iran has not issued visa to them have no basis in fact.
