Former Diplomat Agrees With Iran Supreme Leader's Remarks

Islamabad, June 5, IRNA -- Former Pakistani senior diplomat on Monday agreed with the remarks of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that the Iranian nation by relying on teachings of Imam Khomeini, managed to provide the world with a successful model.
The Supreme Leader made the remarks to a large crowd of people gathered at the mausoleum of late Imam Khomeini in southern Tehran.
Talking to IRNA, Former Secretary General of Foreign Affairs and former ambassador Muhammad Akram Zaki added that there is no doubt about that the awakening movements in Muslim countries have been inspired by the Islamic revolution of Iran.
“The Supreme Leader has more knowledge than me, I totally agree with his statement and analyses,” he said.
Former diplomat expressing his views over the statement of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that Western states are not afraid of nuclear Iran but an Islamic Iran, said certainly western states are against Islam.
“They are against Iran and Pakistan because they cannot tolerate development in Muslim world,” he opined. “They (West) are fighting against Islam,” he maintained.
Muhammad Akram Zaki said that Islamic Revolution of Iran has shaken the despotic governments throughout the world.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has also said that Iran’s nation overcame all the challenges and it is now a strong nation in the world. Muhammad Akram Zaki praised the determination of Iranian nation in achieving goals.
The diplomat said that Supreme Leader has correctly pointed out the sanctions have failed to stop development in Iran. “Sanctions have boosted the progress in Iran,” the analyst added.
He was of the view that sanctions have given rise to anti-American sentiment in Iran.
Muhammad Akram Zaki said that Iran has dispelled the impression that no country in the world could survive without American help. The analyst pointed out that Iran has become a role model for other Muslim countries which is progressing in all fields without American support.
'The Iranian nation overcame all political, military, security and economic challenges that were created with the aim of destroying the Islamic system,' the Supreme Leader added.
Akram Zaki has an outstanding record of distinguished public service as a career diplomat and as a Senator.
During his diplomatic career he served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, USA, Nigeria, the Philippines and later became the Secretary General for Foreign Affairs./end
