German P.E.N President Raps Israeli Settlement Policies

Berlin, April 28, IRNA -- The President of the German section of the international organization of writers P.E.N, Johano Strasser on Friday blasted the Zionist regime for its ongoing settlement policies in the occupied territories. Talking to the German Press Agency dpa, Strasser stressed that this kind of Israeli policies would never lead to a lasting peace in the Middle East. Strasser reaffirmed his strong support for 1999 Nobel laureate Guenter Grass who criticized Israel's military threats against Iran in a recent poem. Grass was 'absolutely right' for opposing Israel's current Iran policy, he added. Earlier this month, Grass had openly accused the illegal Zionist regime of endangering global peace in a poem published in the Munich-based daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper. He also slammed the recent sale of another German-made Dolphin class submarine to the Zionist regime./end
