Hezbollah Of Lebanon Urges Islamic States To Sever Ties With Zionist Regime

Beirut, Sept 24, IRNA – Vice Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Sheikh Na'im Qassim called on Islamic states on Monday to sever ties with Zionist regime in protest to the latest insulting movie against the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH). Speaking in a meeting held in the city of Hermel in east of Lebanon, Sheikh Qassim said Muslim states should show a practical reaction towards sacrilege of the Islamic sanctities. He also called for a massive and large scale demonstration by Muslims and followers of other divine faiths against the US and Zionists' move to produce the anti-Islam film, "Innocent Muslims." If certain Arab countries had spent half of the money they paid for overthrowing the Syrian government for annihilation of the Zionist regime, it could have faced the usurper regime with difficulties, said Qassim. He referred to Israel as a serious threat for the regional stability, peace and development as well as for the whole world. The US-made anti-Islam film has provoked outrage of Muslims all over the globe. Massive demonstrations are being held worldwide in protest to the defamatory movie./end
