History Of 3 Decades Terrorist Events In Iran Displayed At NAM Experts Meet

Tehran, Aug 26, IRNA – The history of terrorist events in the post-revolution Iran was put on display at an exhibition opened here Sunday on the sidelines of the ongoing experts meeting of the 16th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement. The exhibition dubbed "Iran, Victim of Terrorism" shows in picture the history of terrorist attacks in Iran, in different languages, after the victory of Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution. Another exhibition on Iran's achievements in different social, cultural and political areas also started, simultaneously, at the site of the experts meeting in northern Tehran. The two-day meeting was officially started here Sunday morning with a speech by Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi. The experts meeting will be followed by the meeting of NAM foreign ministers on August 28-29 and the Summit is to be held on August 30-31. During the NAM summit, the Islamic Republic of Iran will take over the NAM rotating presidency from Egypt for the next three years. The Non-Aligned Movement includes 120 member states representing the interests and priorities of developing countries. Venezuela will host the 17th summit of the NAM in 2015./end
