Hopes For Peace Rises As Armed Oppositions Contacts Increase

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan key peacemakers said they become hopeful for peace talks with the government armed oppositions, as calls for intendancy of the militants to join the process have recently increased. High Peace Council (HPC) has said that it hoped the Taliban’s supreme leader Mullah Haibatullah would directly show inclination to peace. Taliban had finally reached the result that war was not in their interest and that the final option would be nothing except peace, if they wanted to tackle long oppositions through an inter-Afghan political dialogue. Trust in peace success has increased, after the government peace offer was welcomed by the Hezb-e Islami Afghan leadership. The government has frequently called on the armed oppositions to cease relation with the neighboring countries intelligence and step up for peace and stability restoration in their country. Besides the UN call for peace in Afghanistan, both the government and armed oppositions believe that war was in the interest of no sides and in order to tackle the ongoing challenges, gathering around a negotiation table could be called the only option. Meanwhile the US has announced that it supports an Afghan lead peace dialogue and would do its best to delist some of the Afghan government demand to help the process get accelerated. Earlier the Taliban has announced to enter a direct peace talk with the US at their Qatar based office. The talk was set with two key of the group’s several conditions-recognition of the Taliban’s Qatar office, removal of some the militants’ leaders from the UN blacklist. They also said any peace deal should be held under the Islamic Sharia, a deal could help the group’s leaders join the process. However the militants are still clear if join a political dialogue, but the government should strengthen its peace efforts primarily, and not let the process go in vain. It should also renew its political strategy before the regional and world countries, a policy could increase pressure on Pakistan-the main militant’s supporter to give up training insurgents for instability of the region and encourage those Taliban separated from main militants extremists leadership to join peace talks. Some circles regionally and internationally appear not to be read to give up following their ominous plan for fueling long war in Afghanistan, but the government should step up wisely and control the situation, to may not keep up Afghanistan as a battlefield of proxy war. Peace efforts by the Afghan government intensifies, after 2016 had been announced by the government of national unity as the bloodiest and challenging year, while 2017 had been optimistically taken as the year of peace and hope and an end to insurgents, increase. International community, particularly US has announced their support to Afghanistan and vowed to remain alongside the Afghan armed forces in war on terror, president elect, Donald Trump is expected to have realized the fact that Afghanistan war was in no one interest and should be put an end.
