Interior Min.: Over 50m Iranians Eligible To Vote In June 14 Elections

Tehran, May 28, IRNA – Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said nearly 50,483,000 Iranians are eligible to vote in the June 14 elections. He said 1,931,206 out of the total number are the ones who are to vote for the first time. Talking to reporters at the sideline of a nationwide gathering of governors general and their deputies for political affairs, he said 130,000 ballot boxes, both stationed and mobile ones, are to be used in the elections. As for the Iranian nationals living abroad, he said 285 balloting stations in foreign countries will be available on the elections day./end
