Iran army felicitates Sacred Defense Week

TEHRAN, Sep. 22 (MNA) – Iranian Army forces have felicitated beginning of Sacred Defense Week. Iranian army issued a statement on Sunday in remembrance of martyrs and army men participating in the imposed Iraqi war against the Islamic Republic in 1980-1988. A part of the statement reads as follow: The 34th anniversary of firm defense against the enemy will remember all their sacrifices and bravery during the 8 years of sacred defense against Bathists and shattering the wrong belief of imperialism ever-lasting power. The eight-year defense against the world heresy greatly taught martyrdom and freedom lessons to the oppressed people. The Iranian Army Forces congratulated the Sacred Defense Week to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, to the whole Iranians and all freedom seekers and assured that the military forces will defend the country’s sovereignty with full power and strength.
