Some western sources in recent days have announced that with the escalation of the war in Gaza, Arab states plan to put more pressure on Israel for the possession of nuclear weapons since they feel that the Zionist regime, as the only possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East, threatens the safety and peace in the region.
Last year, these countries drafted a resolution on Israel and called for a stop to the production of nuclear and other mass destruction weapons in this region; however, the resolution was overruled with 8 votes against it.
