Iran nuclear team on EU nuclear tour

TEHRAN, Sept.3 (MNA) – Iranian nuclear negotiators have left Brussels to other European countries for more talks on Tehran nuclear program.
Iran Foreign Minister Mohamamd Javad Zarif met with EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton and President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy on Monday in Brussels.
Zarif accompanied by deputies for Europe and American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi and for Legal and International Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araghchi traveled to Brussels on Sunday to negotiate on nuclear program.
The two sides evaluated the process of the negotiations to see whether they can achieve an agreement on a way to reach a comprehensive agreement on Tehran peaceful nuclear issue.
Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament and the President of the European Parliament met with Zarif in Belgium.
In second leg of his European tour, Zarif will leave Belgium for Luxembourg to meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Head of the parliament and the prime minister.
On Tuesday Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International affairs Seyyed Ababs Araghchi left Brussels for Paris for talks on Tehran nuclear program with French officials.
Also Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi left Brussels for Prague for talks with Czech officials.
Iran and the G5+1 will have new round of nuclear talks on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear issue on the fringes of UN General Assembly which will kick off on September 16.
The 5+1 will discuss ways to reach a comprehensive nuclear deal with Iran based on the interim nuclear deal clinched in November 2013, called Joint Plan of Action, which ended on July 20 but the two sides failed to reach an agreement to start drafting a final comprehensive deal and they agreed to extend negotiations until November 24.
