Iran-Pakistan Should Not Let Anything Damages Mutual Ties - Boroujerdi
Tehran, Oct 9, IRNA – A member of Majlis (Parliament) said Tuesday that Iran and Pakistan should not let their bilateral relations be affected by interests of certain regional countries.
Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Pakistani Law Minister of Punjab state Rana Sanaullah Khan.
Referring to profound religious, historical and cultural relations between Iran and Pakistan, Boroujerdi said there are great potentials in both countries for fostering cooperation that will help bring about peace and stability to the region.
The two can also help strengthen the foothold of the World of Islam in the global interactions.
For his part, the Pakistani minister said Iran's approach benefits the whole World of Islam, adding that the great Iranian nation has taken giant steps towards progress and development.
Sanaullah Khan said the Pakistani nation and government attach great importance to promotion of brotherly relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
