Iraq's largest political alliance to end govt. boycott, member says

BAGHDAD (A.A) - February 6, 2012 - Iraq's largest political coalition, al Iraqiya, is set to end its boycott of government, a Turkmen MP from the bloc has told the Anadolu Agency. Arshad Salehi, head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, has said the Iraqiya's eight ministers would resume attending cabinet meetings to ease the government crisis which erupted after Al Maliki's government issued an arrest warrant against the Sunni vice president Tareq al-Hashemi on charges of terrorism. In protest, the bloc declared boycott of parliament and cabinet meetings in December last year, bringing government work to a standstill. Iraqiya MPs ended parliament boycott on January 29.
