Jalili Syrian Crisis Can Be Solved Only Through Domestic Solutions

Tehran, Sept 25, IRNA - Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili on Monday said Syrian crisis is solvable only through domestic solutions. He made the remarks in a meeting with a visiting Syrian parliamentarian delegation headed by Mohammad Sobhi Abu Shamat in Tehran. Jalili said the Syrain people are able to solve their problems themselves and for this reason Iran has announced time and again that Syrian crisis needs domestic solution and no body is entitled to interfere in the country's domestic affairs. Jalili said Iran supports all initiatives aimed at reinforcing Syria's national dialogs. He said those factions supporting terrorism and bloodshed in Syria cannot speak of people's rights or democracy in Syria and therefore the Syrian people and government should demonstrate their sovereignty through steadfastness. Jalili described Iran and Syria as supporters of resistance to guarantee peace, stability and security in the region./end
