Japan's Abe to Meet with Poroshenko

Tokyo, Oct. 14 (Jiji Press)--Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko are expected to hold talks in Milan this week, Japanese officials said Tuesday. The talks between two leaders are likely to take place on the sidelines of a summit of the Asia-Europe Meeting set to start in the Italian city Thursday. At their first meeting, Abe and Poroshenko are expected to mainly discuss the Ukrainian crisis. Abe is likely to tell Poroshenko that Japan is ready to cooperate with its Group of Seven partners to help settle the situation in Ukraine. END
