KCNA Commentary on DPRK's Measures for Bolstering up Its Nuclear Force at High Level

Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- The hostile forces including the U.S. are making much fuss over the DPRK's test-fire of surface-to-surface medium to long range strategic ballistic missile Pukguksong-2. Under the manipulation of the U.S., the UN Security Council made public a press release the day after the test-fire in which it vociferated about "breach of resolution" and "additional crucial measure". This is a challenge to the legitimate right of a sovereign state and a wanton violation of universally recognized international law. This year alone, the U.S. and many other countries vied with each other to test-fire all sorts of rockets including inter-continental ballistic rocket. When taking note of these facts, there would be no legal ground whatsoever to fault the DPRK's test-fire as it is part of the normal process it has to go through in implementing its state line, and a step for self-defence. Any anti-DPRK steps, the U.S. and its vassal forces are going to take again by abusing the UNSC, would mean a wanton violation of the legitimate right of a sovereign state and universally recognized international law and they will end up in smoke as in the past. This is our warning. The escalating moves against the DPRK will compel it to drastically increase its nuclear attack capabilities. -0-
