Korean-style Socialism Advancing with Strong Juche Character and National Character

Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- It has been twenty years since leader Kim Jong Il made public the famous work "On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction" on June 19, Juche 86 (1997). The work clarifies the principled requirements for preserving the Juche character and national character of the revolution and construction, the essential nature and advantages of the Korean-style socialism strong in the Juche character and national character and the guidelines to be adhered to in the struggle for the independent development of the country and prosperity of the nation. Since its publication, the Workers' Party of Korea has advanced the cause of socialism along the road of victory, always giving fullest play to the Juche character and national character of the revolution and construction. It came to be an invincible treasured sword for preserving and defending the Juche character and national character that Kim Jong Il had pursued the unique Songun (military-first) politics and set forth a new line of economic construction with the main stress on the defence industry at the time when the U.S.-led imperialist reactionaries ran amuck ever before in their moves to stifle and isolate the DPRK.
