Mongolia, UN celebrate 55 years of cooperation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On October 21, a ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Mongolia's membership in the United Nations. The opening addresses were given by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, B.Battsetseg and the UN Resident Representative, Beate Trankmann. The dignitaries stressed their confidence that the 55 years of accomplishments in Mongolia-UN cooperation will strengthen and Mongolia’s contribution to the international community efforts will grow. Mongolia joined the United Nations on October 27 of 1961, as its 101st member.
