MP: West Trying To Create Strife Among Islamic States

Tehran, Aug 12, IRNA – An Iranian parliamentarian said the basic aim of West’s evil plots is to create strife among Islamic states in order to allow the Zionist regime to be at ease. Hossein Sheikholeslam recommended the elite people and freedom-seeking governments in Arab and Islamic countries to clearly manifest their positions towards developments in Syria. He made the remark here on Sunday in a gathering held on the occasion of the Holy Qods Day which also reviewed regional issues. Stressing that every single Muslim ought to clearly define positions towards resistance movement, the parliamentarian said unity among Muslims is best manifested on Qods Day. He reiterated that at the present juncture all world Muslims, despite their probable differences, share the same attitude towards clearing Qods from the evil presence of the Zionists. Sheikholeslam stressed that all West's efforts are aimed at diverting the attention of Muslim nations from the issue of Palestine. He also believed the present developments in Syria are only part of a plot hatched by the West to undermine the resistance wave against the Zionist regime./end
