New Zealand’s Prime Minister receives Abdullah bin Zayed

WELLINGTON, New Zealand, 3rd May, 2018 (WAM) -- Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand, has received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and his delegation, currently visiting the country. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their wishes for New Zealand’s progress and development. Ardern, in turn, reciprocated her greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and her wishes for the UAE’s further prosperity. During the meeting, the two sides discussed means of enhancing and developing friendly relations and cooperation between the UAE and New Zealand in all fields, especially investment, trade, economic, energy, renewable energy and food security. They also reviewed the latest developments in the region and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern. Sheikh Abdullah affirmed the close relations that the UAE and New Zealand share and the continuous keenness to strengthen and develop them with the support of both countries' leadership. Ardern welcomed Sheikh Abdullah's visit, saying it will open wider horizons of joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields. The meeting was attended by Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi, the UAE Ambassador to New Zealand.
