Pakistani Politician Praises Ahmadinejad’s Remarks At UN Debate

Islamabad, Sept 26, IRNA -- Senior Vice President of a political party on Tuesday praised Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s remarks that western countries breach independent countries’ rights.
Talking to IRNA, All Pakistan Muslim League leader Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri said that Muslims have lost hope from the United Nations and soon they will think of having their own United Nations.
“The remarks had truly reflected the sentiments of Muslim Ummah,” he said.
Ahmadinejad was speaking at a General Assembly session titled ‘The Rule of Laws.’
Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri expressing his views said that the most important issue is that Muslim Ummah which consists of one fourth population of the world has not been given a permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). He said that permanent members of the UNSC represent the Christian community except China.
The political leader was of the view that Britain and France are no more world powers so they have no right to become the permanent members of the UN Security Council.
“Security Council needs reorganization; it must give representation to Muslim Ummah,” he viewed.
Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri went on to say that Muslim Ummah must be represented through the UNSC and who so ever is the chairman of the OIC can represent the Muslim Ummah’s seat at the Security Council.
He termed the veto power as highly discriminatory adding that the power has always been misused.
“We are not getting fair deals, if Muslims are treated in the same manner they would like to de-link with the United Nations, time is soon coming when Muslims will think of having their own United Nations,” Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri noted.
He said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has delivered a realistic speech based on facts. “I agree with what President Ahmadinejad has said,” said the political leader.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaking about the situation in Syria said that “We seek peace in Syria. We like and love both sides. We see both sides as equally our brothers.”
Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri said that the problem is that westerns governments want to spread anarchy in Muslims countries.
He criticized the presence of West in Middle East and Muslim regions. “Why are they so keen about democracies in Muslim countries?” he asked.
The All Pakistan Muslim League leader said it was not the job of NATO to dislodge the government of Gaddafi in Libya and now they have entered Syria. “The whole objective of such actions is to destabilize the Muslim world,” he warned.
He said former American President Richard Nixon had once predicted about the Green Revolution. “They are afraid of the spread of Islam,” said the political leader.
Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri added that Islam is religion of peace and co-existence. He said that West is leveling false allegations on Islam. “Islam believes in inter-faith harmony but they are trying to build our negative image,” noted the politician.
He said that freedom of expression is always subject to laws. “You have no right to defame anybody under the notion of the freedom of expression,” he said. Mr. Kasuri said that in Islam blasphemy law covers the respect of all Prophets.
“Yes I agree with the Iranian President that anti-Islam film - produced in the US - is abuse of freedom of expression,” said the politician./end
